Here is a unique chance to meet Ellen Johannesen, KPJAYI Level 2 Authorized Ashtangi, who usually lives in Nepal where she studies Tibetan Buddhism, philosophy and language. Ellen will give an introduction to meditation and mindfulness rooted in Buddhist philosophy and practice. These techniques, used today by people around the world, aim to create a peaceful mind and to develop compassion for all living. They also provide an essential basis for overcoming passivity and burnout and creating a humane and inclusive society. If you want heart and mind refills, this is a retreat for you!
The day starts with Yoga, where Ellen teaches Ashtanga in her own unique way: Her approach is both playful and technical, inspired by dance, functional anatomy and meditation. With over 20 years of experience, Ellen is among the foremost Ashtanga Yoga teachers and practitioners in Norway and she is guaranteed to teach you something!
Furthermore, there are classes of philosophy and meditation where we, among other things, explore how and meditation can change the mind in a positive direction and create a real change in our experience of the world. Since devotion and trust are the foundation for developing a stable meditation practice, we will end the day with loving-kindness meditation and chanting.
We promise you a great weekend in the mountains of Norway!
