Jivamukti Yoga is a vinyasa yoga method where it is practiced to energizing music. The classes are spiritual, uplifting and physically challenging. Emphasis is placed on the physical practice (asana) carried out in a continuous flow with a playful approach. At the same time, elements of chanting, yoga philosophy, meditation and relaxation are important parts of the teaching, to help us delve into the depth of the yoga practice. JMY originated in the 1980s in New York, founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life. The teaching can be adapted to different levels and experience of yoga, so everyone with an inquisitive and open mind is most welcome.
