Join us for a weekend of transitions: from the intense forward bending of Ashtanga Primary series, we will proceed into the deep frontal openings of intermediate series with one of Norway´s most experienced Ashtanga teachers.

Classes and workshops:

Thursday:

  • 16.30 - 18.00 Lead "Super Thursday" class

    • This is a hybrid between the Ashtanga series and the softer Chandra Namaskar sequence, a super preparation for backbends. A bit easier on the shoulders, more intense on the back and hips!

  • 18.00-19.00 Dinner

Friday:

  • 07.00-09.00 Morning meditation and lead half primary + half intermediate

    • We will transition smoothly into the intermediate series allowing the body time to breathe. Students will be given modifications if necessary so that they can safely progress into backbends.

  • 09.00-10.00 Breakfast break

  • 11.00-12.00 Tea and talk:

    • An informal gathering and discussion around yoga practice and philosophy. How do we progress along the yogic path? Bring your tea, questions, pen, and paper!

  • 16.00-17.30 Technique class:

    • Transitioning into Intermediate series with correct vinyasa and transitions between asanas.

  • 18.00-19.00 Dinner

Saturday:

  • 07.00-09.00 Mysore self-practice

  • 09.00-10.00 Breakfast break

  • 10.00 – 16.00 Free time to explore the area

    • Possibility to have a packed lunch

  • 16.00 - 17.30 Technique class II:

    • Backbends and arm balances: Ashtanga yoga and especially the Intermediate series offers an equal challenge to flexibility and stability: in this class, we will look at how to find more freedom and ease in our backbends and stability and trust when going into arm balances.

  • 18.00-19.00 Dinner

Sunday:

  • 07.00-09.00 Mysore self-practice.

  • 09.00-10.00 Breakfast break
