Do you want to get a little further in your yoga practice? Do you want to immerse yourself both in the physical yoga positions (asanas) and in the yoga philosophy itself? Could you imagine building up good, steady routines in everyday life, which you can take with you both out into the world and at home on the living room floor? Then these days are for you!

Here at Nøsen, we think that the best days are those that start early. That's why we start the day with morning meditation and physical yoga poses at the same time as the mountains gradually come into view outside the windows and the day comes to life. Afterwards, we eat a nutritious, rich and tasty breakfast, and take our time to enjoy the calm and peace that surrounds us on all sides.

The philosophy classes this week will focus on what it means to integrate yoga into everyday life. How can yoga help us get a firmer footing in difficult situations. We will look at what the old yoga texts say about the topic and we will discuss how to understand it in a modern context.

Nøsen is located in magnificent, undisturbed natural surroundings and there is plenty of time every day to enjoy the silence and to go for walks both with or without skis on your feet. If the conditions are right, we like to make a hole in the ice and take a refreshing ice bath.

We serve an exquisite vegetarian meal and three meals per day are included in the price together with accommodation in a double or triple room. If you want a single room, there will be a small addition to the price.

This course is suitable for all levels and we will help you to find specialization according to your requirements and your capacity. During the week, you will get good tools that will enrich your own practice within yoga and hopefully also in life as a whole.

About the teacher

Alexander Medin has been teaching yoga for 22 years. He was certified by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois I in 2002, a distinction achieved by only 33 people. He has an MA in Sanskrit and Indian Religions and has had the privilege of traveling the world teaching yoga.

As the founder of the title Back in The Ring, he has worked on several projects that help people who have fallen outside in life and give them the opportunity to build themselves up with the help of a good yoga practice, an increased sense of responsibility and socially useful work.
