This three-day workshop is suitable for those who are keen to learn or explore the system and tradition of the practice of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga and establish their own self-practice.
During this workshop, we will introduce you to the Ashtanga basics, give you the techniques that will help you to remember the sequence easily and improve your concentration. Further on, we will teach you some basic breath techniques that purifies the body from toxins and release tension in the body. If you think your body is too stiff for yoga, we are ready to change your mind. Everyone can practice yoga and by modifying the postures you will be able to keep a safe and stable alignment.
Early September invites itself to be a beautiful opportunity to enjoy the last summer rays and thus the morning practice will be followed by a simple barefoot meditation in nature. Aside of the yoga practice, meditation, and sessions on yoga techniques, you will be served three delicious and healthy vegetarian meals a day in a buffet style made by our chefs who are inspired by Yogic and Ayurvedic principles.
We look forward to welcoming you at Nøsen and spending a September weekend in a relaxing environment of the Norwegian mountains!

About the teachers:
Raquel Carmelo is from Lisbon and has a background in social studies and community development. She worked in different educational projects in Portugal and other European countries. Her passion to yoga practice made her change the course of her professional life. She studied Hatha, Vinyasa yoga and Ashtanga in India and more recently she studied Ashtanga yoga at Nøsen with Alexander Medin, where she lives, works and dedicates her time understanding the deeper aspects of this practice. She is also a thai bodyworker, trained at TMC school.
Eva Antonie Brozova is an Ashtanga yoga practitioner with an educational background in Environmental Science. She started studying Ashtanga in Prague Shala with Denisa Sengerova, KPJAYI 1 authorized, and nowadays she continues her studies with R. Alexander Medin, KPJAYI certified, at Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell. She regards the practice as a practice of life. What we do in our daily lives influences how our practice will be, and vice versa. If we learn how to relax during the practice, that feeling will penetrate in the rest of the day. The practice of yoga represents a life journey to the truth self, uncovering the deepest patterns, and realizing ourselves as an individual and as a part of nature.
