4-6 November you have the opportunity to come up to the Norwegian mountain home for yoga, meditation, mindfulness and socializing!
*Previously requests for the weekend are welcome so that if anyone has something they particularly want to learn more about, we could possibly include it in the program.
We meet on Friday evening, get to know each other a bit. Physical yoga classes are held in the mornings on both Saturday and Sunday. It requires no prior knowledge and the lessons can be adapted individually if you are new to yoga.
Tasty and healthy food is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is breakfast after the morning training, lunch at 1.30pm on Saturday and Sunday and dinner at 6pm on Friday and Saturday. There will be theory, philosophy and technique sessions in the middle of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Good time for a trip on Saturday. There are great hiking opportunities right outside the door! A softer yoga class with a focus on breathing and relaxation on Saturday afternoon/evening. Here, exercises and techniques that can easily be done on your own will later be presented in a safe environment.
The retreat is held by Tina, she has held similar yoga gatherings in the past and recommends this two/three day time for yourself or with friends. In addition to being a social and pleasant trip, this is also an opportunity to immerse oneself and fill up one's individual yoga journey. By setting aside a little longer and concentrated time for yourself, especially in an environment that supports you during yoga and the calm it provides also gives you time to digest what the yoga classes offer.
Asker Yoga Shala with Tina has arranged a trip to Nøsen several times, after good experiences and previous wonderful stays, we are very happy to go on a trip there again. The trip is suitable for those who want to travel alone or with a friend/friends.
This is a weekend that suits everyone! Whether you are completely new to yoga, or whether you are experienced and just want to practice with other enthusiasts.
Tina Ørbeck-Nilssen
(Owner and operator of Asker Yoga Shala)
She discovered Ashtanga yoga in 2005 on a beginner's course. Until 2010, she practiced on her own and took occasional courses. In 2010/2011, she took a one-year yoga course with Alexander Medin, at Puro Yoga. Tina practiced here herself for several years, and assisted for some time.
She has a lot of experience in teaching. Since 2011, she has taught everything from children to seniors, and from top athletes to housewives.
In 2014, Tina completed training in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage at Axelson's Body Work School. A holistic form of treatment with roots in Ayurveda and Yoga.
Daily yoga practice with an emphasis on Ashtanga yoga is an important part of her life, and has given her the opportunity to teach yoga to others. Tina wants to share yoga as a health-giving activity, general well-being and as a lifestyle.
