Momentum invites you to take a creative break from everyday life with refills that can nourish you long into the autumn darkness and winter. You will have the opportunity to explore movement, dance, yoga, meditation, as well as other creative methods of expression such as painting and writing. Through a playful approach, spontaneity and exploration of the creative within you is facilitated. Through our Creative Lab, we want to create a free space where you can nurture yourself, and maybe give you some extra tools that you can take home and use further.

You also get a good opportunity to turn your focus inwards. We offer nourishing soft yoga and meditation to provide extra replenishment for body and soul. Mira and Magnhild in Momentum are experienced teachers, and are used to teaching all levels and age groups, so everyone is warmly welcome regardless of background. The level is adapted to the group's participants and some individual adaptations can also be provided.

Nøsen Yoga and Fjellhotell is beautifully situated in idyllic surroundings that invite recreation, peace and quiet. There will also be time set aside between the sessions for alone time in nature or with a good book. You will also be served nutritious, healthy and good vegetarian meals. The whole weekend can be enjoyed to the fullest and really give you the fill you need to make the weekend complete for you.

Momentum consists of Mira Hopland and Magnhild Marie Krog. We offer tailored courses, retreats and workshops. We draw inspiration from several disciplines, and the methods we use are taken from Yoga, modern contemporary dance, authentic movement, creative methods from art and expression therapy, dance therapy and psychomotor physiotherapy.

MAGNHILD MARIE KROG:

Magnhild is a psychomotor physiotherapist, children's physiotherapist, yoga teacher and dance educator. She is particularly concerned with how our lives leave traces in our bodies, and how our breath and body are affected by the life we live. Magnhild has a holistic approach to body, mind, soul and emotions, where everything is connected and influenced. She facilitates experiences and exploration in her courses and she loves when the students or participants make their own discoveries and listen to their own bodies and allow themselves to be influenced/touched. Magnhild has extensive teaching experience in movement and body therapy/psychomotor physiotherapy in groups and individually. She is warm, playful and exploratory in her appearance and her friendly nature makes you quickly feel safe in her presence.

MIRA HOPLAND

Mira is an art and expression therapist, yoga teacher and dance teacher. She has over twelve years of experience with dance, movement and yoga-oriented teaching. Mira has always been keen to work creatively and body-focused and finds it exciting to be able to combine dance, movement, yoga together with artistic and creative methods. As an art and expression therapist, she has held group therapy and followed up with clients individually. She is particularly concerned with how one can meet and communicate with the body - and how artistic language and expression can show us paths to authenticity, resources and transformation. She loves to see how that work initiates healing and vitalizing change processes in her own life and that of others. Mira is experienced as engaged, present and close when she teaches.

Workshop - Kreativ Lab

In this workshop, we want to take you into a creative process where we combine dance and movement with creative methods from art and expression therapy.

We use dance and movement to give you room to explore how you can move your body in different directions, different planes and in new ways to find more freedom and presence in your body. We use simple elements from modern contemporary dance to explore; how you can find grounding, safety and support through floor work, explore tension and relaxation in movement, use breath and gravity to find a free and relaxed way to move. We also want to research movement together in a playful and harmless way. You don't need any experience of dance, just a curiosity to get into moving in new and exciting ways.

We also use creative methods from art and expression therapy to enter into a creative process. Through painting, movement, music, drawing and writing, we open up so that you can express yourself creatively and gain access to new perspectives and potentials. Your creative landscape can give you new insights and be a source of inspiration and replenishment. The methods used do not require any prior knowledge or skills.

Morning Flow Yoga:

A floating yoga class where we get the body going. The class is inspired by vinyasa yoga, where the focus is on synchronizing breath and movement into a continuous flow. We move from position to position, and get the body going in a gentle way. There will also be space for meditation and relaxation during this class.

Letting go into Yin:

A quiet yin yoga class where we will stretch muscles and connective tissue. We stay in each position for a long time to not only stretch the muscles, but also the sluggish connective tissue/fascia. At the end of the class, we have a longer relaxation session to calm down completely.

Restorative and yoga nidra

A calm and restorative yoga class. We find good rest positions that calm the nervous system and at the end of the class a longer Yoga Nidra/deep relaxation is guided. This class is a completely calm and invigorating class that gets you ready for bed afterwards.
