This long weekend one of Norway's most experienced Ashtanga teachers, Ellen Johannesen, will come to Nøsen to assist you and provide tips on how to advance in your yoga practice. Through a combination of Ashtanga and mobility training, rest, and recovery, we will delve deeper into the body and open up to new experiences, both physically and mentally. We will start on Thursday evening with a guided class, the Lunar Sequence, which is the gentle half-sister of Ashtanga. This sequence stretches the body's connective tissue and prepares you for the yoga weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, there will be Mysore practice and technique/relaxation sessions in the afternoons. You will learn about the structure of the Ashtanga system, how the practice affects the body's connective tissue, and how to develop your practice in a constructive way. Among other things, you will learn what to focus on to master the bridge and other backbends.
Is this workshop suitable for me?
If you have done Ashtanga before, have your own practice, or want to get started, then this workshop is for you!
